The CoRay Project

Between 2020 and 2022 Emerging Minds collaborated with young people and a wide variety of partners to understand how the mental health of young people aged 11-16 had been affected by the pandemic, and to support young people themselves to develop and share resources that would be helpful in response.

Through synthesising evidence and workshops with young people, researchers, and clinicians, the CoRay team identified 5 priority areas, which you can find out more about below. You can also explore the portfolio of evidence-based resources co-created by young people to address these priority areas, from films to infographics.

We worked with some fantastic partners including: the Triumph Network, the University of Reading, Swansea University, Young Minds, the Centre for Mental Health, the McPin Foundation, Headliners (UK), and Fully Focused Productions. And we are very grateful to the Medical Research Council and the Westminster Foundation for supporting this work.

In 2022 we were thrilled to hand over the CoRay project to the Charlie Waller Trust. They are continuing to develop resources on youth mental health wellbeing for teachers, parents and carers including resource packs, guides, short films and lesson plans. You can find all of these ready to download on their website
